You'll get a different tiny animal each month for a year when you join the Tiny Animal Club -- find the Etsy listing here. I can't believe this exists! My heart is melting.

Tiny & cute abounds

I'm so excited! I've acquired (mostly through gifts from my co-workers) so many cute, tiny things lately. I need to document them all and upload them to Tiny Is Cute - plus, I've definitely got to do another tiny animal roundup, which, let's admit, is the best kind of post this blog has to offer.

While I'm getting all of that together... if you're reading this site, I know it means that you are a lover of tiny things, too. Can you send me (bmkress@gmail.com) your favorite tiny things photos, or links to other blogs? I'll happily share them here.

I'm not the only one...

...who loves tiny desserts!

Chains take a bite out of mini-dessert trend

Small is big when it comes to dessert trends.
From Mini-Blizzards at Dairy Queen to the new line of Petites launched by Starbucks last week, sweets are shrinking to fit a craving for snack-sized portions.
"There's a huge trend of mini desserts," says Annie Young-Scrivner, global chief marketing officer for Starbucks. "Our research shows that customers are looking for that little something in the afternoon. They don't want it to be very big. They just want a couple of bites of something to complement their tea or espresso or other beverage."
And so Starbucks Petites were launched. The line features eight items — all of which pack fewer than 200 calories each and cost $1.50 — including cake pops (cake-on-a-stick), whoopee pies and lemon squares.

A Tiny Birthday

My co-workers, who are well aware of my obsession with tiny things, threw me a surprise tiny birthday party last Friday!

Mini muffins and Oreos, Timbits, tiny cans of pop and miniature balloons...

They thought of every detail, and I loved it! Including tiny cactus plants as a gift that are now decorating my desk. How great is that?

Tiny fashionista

Sorry it's been so long since my last post! I've gathered so much tiny, cute stuff to share, and I'm going to start doling it out in the days ahead. Here's one I just can't wait to show off:

Oh my goodness. An adorable girl made even more adorable by being dressed like she's 22. I can hardly handle it!

My manager has a 2-year-old little boy who she's posted pictures of on Facebook wearing jeans, rumpled plaid shirts and tiny little kicks, looking like a miniature grown man. I love it! Who can deny - tiny is cute.
